thenex GmbH has been working together closely with INDUSTRONIC for almost ten years and has been offering their products and services to new and existing clients of INDUSTRONIC in the Caribbean and Latin America. In order to maintain and improve our services, especially to our customers in the Caribbean, thenex GmbH organized a training session on the product range at thenex headquarters in Bocholt-Germany.
Besides a “hands-on” training on selected INDUSTRONIC units, we deepened our understanding of their system philosophy and delved into the required configuration tools. As market leader for industrial communication systems, INDUSTRONIC always seeks innovative solutions to improve and widen the application range and serviceability of their systems.
DUSTRON app
A real highlight of the training was the introduction to the brand-new DUSTRON App. Yes, INDUSTRONIC goes mobile! The smartphone app ‘DUSTRON’ enhances the INDUSTRONICS INTRON-D plus system with a mobile option. In today’s industrial environment you need flexible and safe communication on the go. DUSTRON meets these needs by supporting the same features as any other INDUSTRONIC intercom station – from alarm activation to standard speech communication functions as well as maintenance and monitoring functions.
We enjoyed a fascinating demonstration of the DUSTRON App functionality on an EX PROOF smart phone. In our opinion the app brings entirely new possibilities for INDUSTRONIC users and forms a perfect companion to existing communication and security systems. It will above all certainly add to plant safety as it reduces response times in case of problems on site.

Wide-Area Notification by INDUSTRONIC
INDUSTRONIC has added a new series of modular acoustic siren horns to its program. The horns can be used as an electronic siren for alarms as for voice announcements and are especially designed for areas with high ambient noise levels. Of course, these siren horns can be implemented into the INTRON-D plus system.
